A warranty & service update from MINI UK

We are pleased to share that MINI UK are committed to supporting our customers during the temporary closure of their retailers. Acknowledging that there are many questions being asked around warranty and service work, the below update issued by MINI UK will hopefully answer any questions you may have during our temporary closure.

Please also be assured that if your car is not currently within warranty or if you do not have a MINI service pack, but your vehicle is due a service during our temporary closure, going over the service indicator by the advised 3 months or 2,000 miles (whichever is earlier) is still OK as long as you keep your fluids topped up.

Service schedules:

Customers requiring a vehicle service during the delays caused by Coronavirus can rest assured that the warranty will be unaffected by this disruption. All cars serviced within 3 months or 2,000 miles (whichever is earlier) of the service indicator will be protected in full by any applicable warranty.

Warranty expiry:

For customers with a warranty expiry during the coronavirus restrictions (from 14th March 2020 onwards), we will extend your warranty coverage until 30th June 2020. End of warranty checks due during this period will also be fulfilled. Customers in self-isolation beyond 30th June will be asked to contact you to arrange for vehicle collection and delivery.

Service packages:

MINI will honour Service Inclusive packages expiring between 14th March and 30th June 2020 for any overdue work.

As the situation and timelines associated with workshop restrictions remain fluid, we will be reassessing the timescales on a regular basis.

The MINI UK website has been updated and features a number of questions that customers have asked over recent days. We have provided an example of the most common questions and answers below.
